The Triumph of POP

The IRM's POP (Prabhupada-Only Paradigm) system insists that we only follow the recorded orders of Srila Prabhupada. This is revolutionary in that it is common for "devotees" of whatever philosophical persuasion to accept "testimonies" or "Prabhupada said" as evidence. However, POP now seems to have infiltrated into ISKCON. Recently in a class he gave on 17/10/21 at the ISKCON UK headquarters, GBC voted-in guru Kripamoya Dasa ("KMD") bemoaned the influence of POP in ISKCON (all emphases in QNN added):

"Now, these days, even as a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, I can say 'Prabhupada said', and not one person in the audience believes me. You know why? Because the next question they ask me is, '_Prabhuji_, could you just give me a quote for that, where Prabhupada said that?' \[...\] And as soon as you say something like, 'Well, I think Prabhupada said it...' – as soon as you say 'I think', they go, 'Ah, he's not bona fide. He's not authorised.' \[...\] We live in an age where you have to validate every statement, unfortunately."

1) KMD explains how POP has completely penetrated at least into the rank and file of ISKCON. This is due to the influence of the IRM's sustained preaching within ISKCON.

2) KMD also reveals the mentality of ISKCON's leadership by stating that having to follow POP and "validate every statement" is something that needs to "unfortunately" be done. Thus, ISKCON's leaders thinking it is wrong to have to offer evidence for their claims and that instead we should just accept any nonsense they state, itself shows how importantly we need POP in ISKCON.
